Please reach us at stmbconsulting@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes! We have partnered with a local CPA to make your business bookkeeping, and individual tax preparation services seamless. STMB Consulting provides bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax and advising services to your business and will provide your business financial statements to your preferred CPA, or our partner CPA if you don't have one.
Having a dedicated bookkeeper and advisor throughout the year who works with your CPA at tax time is the best way to ensure that you are not overpaying taxes when it's time for your business and/or individual tax preparation and filing.
Here at STMB Consulting, our prices are not based on an hourly rate. We base our prices on the value of the service we provide and customize it to the activity level and size of each individual business.
We take into consideration the number of services we're providing and the amount of transactions and bank accounts we manage on a daily basis. By doing this, we keep our prices affordable to you as you grow your business.

Please note that we use the QuickBooks Online platform for all of our clients. We will provide you with instructions on how to setup your QuickBooks Online subscription and give us access to your books.
The first step is a complimentary consultation via zoom or phone so we can gather info about your business, determine what services your business needs, and answer any questions you may have. It is also a good opportunity for both parties to decide if we would like to work with each other since bookkeeping tends to be a long term professional relationship.
After the initial consultation, you will receive a customized setup email with detailed instructions for setting up QuickBooks Online, if you don't already have a subscription for your business. The setup email will also include instructions for giving us access to your books, documents we may need, and additional info to make your financial reports complete and accurate. The setup process usually involves getting your bookkeeping current from the beginning of your business' timeline to the last complete month (historical bookkeeping).
Once we receive the items needed to give you a quote, you will have the opportunity to approve the quote. We usually require that 50% of the invoice be paid upfront and we will get started on your bookkeeping right away once we receive it. We also provide discounts and offer payment plans, up to six months long for the first invoice at no additional cost to you.
You will receive updates from us while we work on your bookkeeping, as well as requests for any transactions we need you assistance with. Once we're completed your business bookkeeping, we will review and clean up your financial statements, and send them to you to review.
Once the financial reports are approved, you will receive the final financial reports for your business attached to your final invoice. If applicable, we will coordinate with your CPA, or our preferred CPA, to get your business/individual taxes prepared at no additional cost to you.
The first step is to get a QuickBooks online bookkeeping subscription for your business if you don't already have one. We provide instructions for doing this in your customized setup email.
You will be able to securely link your business bank accounts to QuickBooks so that your bank transactions automatically upload to QB We work exclusively in QuickBooks online and require that all of our clients to have total ownership of their QuickBooks subscription. We will provide instructions in the setup email for giving us (and your preferred CPA) access to your books.
The next step is providing the documents and answers to questions we may have to ensure your financial statements are accurate and complete. Documents we need may include: bank statements, business loan and finance statements, a list of business expenses/transactions paid for on your personal accounts, and/or payroll and sales tax related documents. Information we may need to include: more details about unknown transactions and/or vendor name and details for checks written.
The last step is reviewing and approving complete financial statements, and letting us know if you'd like us to communicate with your CPA to get your business/individual taxes prepared.
Once you are caught up with your taxes and bookkeeping, you can choose to setup monthly or quarterly bookkeeping services with us, and we will handle the rest going forward and continue to communicate with you about your bookkeeping and other services. We will also be available to answer any questions you have, or for advising at no extra cost.
